Considerations and Reflections

It won't matter
What kind of car I drove
What kind of house I lived in
How much money I had in the bank
Nor what my cloths looked like
BUT
The world may be a little better
Because, I was important
In the life of a child.

No one has yet realized the wealth of sympathy, the kindness and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure. Emma Goldman

Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children. Charles R. Swindoll

In the final analysis it is not what you do for your children but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings. Ann Landers

  1. Hi Alissa:

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you. Thank you for your contributions.

What I take away from your post is not only the development of learning skills for children, but the growth of a human being. We need to embrace all aspects of a child. We cannot spend less time on social & emotional skills to make time for academics. Children need our time in all of these areas.

Good luck in your next class. I hope we can work together again.

I have enjoyed working with you, your discussion, feedback and blog entries are always thought provoking!

Reading your quotes above reminds me of the incredible responsibility we have to children. It is a responsibility never to be taken lightly.

Good luck in your classes, I hope to be able to work and learn with you again soon!

  3. That's right if we focus all our attention on the material issues in our lives we may miss the chance to help develop a child into a productive individual. Children are our future we must never forget that.
